YOUR MISSION
The year is 2070 and the Earth’s fuel shortage has reached dangerous lows.
Fossil fuels, such as oil and coal, are a few short weeks from running out completely.
Without a resource to power our cities, buildings, homes, transports, and machines,
how we live on Earth will no longer be possible.
A group of hopeful scientists have discovered a way
to use hydrogen as a clean solution to power everything we use.
Since our planet has a limited supply, the scientists propose sending a crew and spaceship to the largest planets in our solar system - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, also known as the Gas Giants, to borrow from their hydrogen supplies and transport it back to Earth.
Astronauts are afraid to venture into unknown territories since ships that have traveled in the past to explore the Gas Giants have never returned.
Just when all hope seemed lost, a small group of brave problem solvers, the Art Cadets, have stepped up to the challenge. Through collaboration and teamwork, the Art Cadets are designing a ship to travel through our solar system and successfully bring back the hydrogen needed to support humans on our planet.
You are an Art Cadet - armed only with your creativity and whatever supplies you have, you can solve the problem.
You’ll design a ship that can make it to the Gas Giants to retrieve enough Hydrogen to provide fuel for everyone in need!
